I love lamps. I love lampshades. I love searching for that perfect combo that will make the room, or a corner of the room perfect. The warm light brightens everything and warms the heart. It does mine, anyway.

Entering Bourne, MA

The Town of Bourne is the gateway to Cape Cod. You have to pass through the town to get over the Cape Cod Canal and to anywhere else on the Cape. The Cape Cod canal bisects the community, with both the Bourne and the Sagamore Bridges, as well as the Buzzards Bay Railroad Bridge, being the only means to cross the Canal, unless you're traveling by boat of course. 

The Canal is world renowned for it's sport fishing, scenic vistas, relaxing bike rides and walking routes. And for carrying vessels of all sizes, flying the flags of all nations. The Ships and Tug Boats that move along the Canal are a sight to see.

Burlap Stripe

I'm working with Burlap and Hemp at the moment.
I think they're fun textiles to work with. I like the
imperfections and the open weave. It's a tiny
bit unpredictable working with these workhorse
fabrics. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
